SPONSORED BY THE WILLIAMS FAMILY
Sam is a sweetheart who was abandoned at a shelter because his family wanted a puppy. When we rescued Sam, we discovered that he had heartworms, Lyme Disease & Ehrlichia. Sam has been treated for all of these conditions and is now healthy. He also had some worn/broken teeth that had to be removed and that has been done, too! While he doesn't have much in the way of front teeth, his back teeth are fine and he can eat regular dog food without a problem. He is not a picky eater at all. Sam is good with people and other dogs. He can be a little timid around loud noises, so Sam needs someone who will help build his confidence. He has made tremendous progress since he has been with us and is a real love bug who loves to put his head in your lap. Sam likes to explore his yard for a while and then lie on the deck in the sun or come back in and hang out in the kitchen. He doesn't like to go far from his people. Sam would be very happy on a farm or in a smaller yard. He sleeps on his bed in his foster parents' bedroom quietly through the night with no accidents. He is also crate trained. Although Sam is an older dog, he has no mobility issues and likes to run around in the yard and roll on his back for a belly rub. He is not a chewer and seldom barks. Sam would do well in a variety of homes - the main thing with him is he just wants to be with you! Won't you consider making him a part of your family? He may be a little older, but he should have some good years left and he will thank you for the chance to be able to experience a loving home. You can contact us to arrange a meeting or visit Sam at Lexington Pet World on Saturday, September 21st from 11 - 2. Thank you for considering Sam!
